I am Shakr, DJ Producer and Sound Explorer. Through my productions, my programs and the Melodic Nomad concept, I explore electronic music nourished by the world's cultures.

My musical universe lies between organic house, melodic house and influences from funk, soul and world music. Each project is an invitation to discover music differently: to understand cultures, explore sounds and create bridges between periods and styles.

This site is a musical discovery space where sound productions, broadcasts and explorations meet to share a vision: music as a universal language.

The art of travelling by sound

I created Melodic Nomad® to shape this vision: connecting cultures through electronic music.

Through my productions, DJ sets and shows, I sample forgotten voices, old grooves, fragments of funk, soul, rap, blues and world music that I reinvent in an organic and groovy house. A sound that makes you dance, but carries a memory. Each piece is a stopover. Every mix, a travel diary.

Melodic Nomad® is the natural extension of this approach: a space where one chooses to listen differently, to understand, explore and create together.

My vision

For me, music is a universal language. She talks about identity, freedom, movement. It crosses borders better than words and connects people who never met.

I'm not just a DJ Producer. I'm a sound nomad. My engine is sound exploration. Understand. Explore. Create. Every encounter learns something. Every culture expands my way of hearing the world.
